Monica Peters

Monica Peters

Monica Peters has practiced primarily in the area of family law since beginning her law practice in 2006. Since that time, she has successfully handled complex child custody cases, contested divorces, adoptions, CPS cases, name changes, and modifications of suits affecting the parent-child relationship. While Monica has assisted many clients in reaching amicable resolutions to their cases through both mediation and informal settlement methods, she is also a fierce litigator who represents her clients zealously and aggressively in the courtroom.

Monica prides herself in being accessible to her clients so that they can have their questions answered and their concerns addressed during the most challenging time in their lives. While she frequently uses email to stay in contact with her clients and answer simple questions, Monica understands that there are many times when nothing can replace a voice on the phone or a meeting face-to-face. Monica makes it a priority to be available to clients when she is not in court and to return calls as soon as possible.

Monica understands that when people come to a family law attorney for help, they are placing their family into that person’s hands. This is a responsibility that she takes very seriously in her practice. It is Monica’s goal to help each of her clients achieve the best possible results for themselves and for their families while simultaneously setting their minds at ease until their case reaches its conclusion.

Monica Peters was born and raised in West Texas. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law. She is admitted to the federal district courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. She is also a member of the Collin County Bar Association, the Denton County Bar Association, and the Dallas County Bar Association.

When Monica is not working she is busy keeping up with her two active girls and her husband in Collin County. Monica is involved in her church where she enjoys singing in the choir. She also loves traveling, hunting, gardening, and spending time in West Texas on the family ranch.
