At the most stressfuland turbulant time of my adult life, Ms. Bogdanowicz handled my divorce beyond all expectations and very successfully. Before I contacted Ms. Bogdanowicz to handle my case, I had no direction on what to do and how to handle it. Ms. Bogdanowicz immediately gave me great assurance and designed a strategy that I could follow. She gave me direction and choices while sharing her experience and knowledge. She kept me informed, updated me constantly and in a timely manner. All my questions were answered promptly and clearly. She virtually 'held my hand' through the whole process. Not only was I being strongly represented, but I was given peace of mind. All information I was given and direction I received from Ms. Bogdanowicz was correct and proved to be successful for me and my case. I strongly recommend Ms. Bogdanowicz to handle difficult and complicated legal matters. She's an outstanding member of the legal profession and I would seek her out for any future legal issues I encounter.

Probate is the process by which a person’s assets are transferred and debts are settled upon his or her death. It is a critical piece of estate planning, as probate ensures that your estate’s distribution happens fairly and according to your wishes, as supervised by the legal system.

Probate is initiated by someone acting on behalf of the decedent — usually the person who is named as the executor and takes responsibility for settling the decedent’s affairs. Or, if there is no will, the court will appoint an administrator to oversee the process.

This is often a family member such as surviving spouse or adult child.
This probate administrator will oversee the process of having the will read and presented in probate court, and then going through the phases of probate: inventory of the estate’s assets, settlement of outstanding debts, and transfer or distribution of remaining assets. These steps are all overseen and regulated by probate law and probate courts.

Probate is a complicated but necessary legal process – one that is often complicated by emotions and concerns of grieving family members and business partners. Albin Roach is fortunate to have a board-certified Plano probate litigation attorney on the team.
