Misty B. Cole
Misty Cole currently practices solely in family law, including divorce, custody, modifications, enforcement actions, restraining and protective orders, and child support. Ms. Cole takes a pragmatic approach to family law cases, and takes pride in being the calm in her client’s emotional storm. She is solution orientated and helps her clients focus on their goals.
Ms. Cole has practiced law for 17 years, spending the first 10 years in civil litigation handling contract and business disputes, mass tort litigation, product and premises liability, construction litigation, employment discrimination, and civil rights matters. She has represented a range of clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. In 2009, Ms. Cole began using her litigation skills in the area of family law and now family law is 100% of her focus.
Ms. Cole earned her law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she graduated With Honors and was the magister of Phi Delta Phi. Ms. Cole has a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Journalism from Oklahoma State University. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Ms. Cole practiced law there before moving to Texas in 2000.
Ms. Cole is licensed in practice law in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, and is admitted to the federal district courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, and the Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Texas. She is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association.
Outside of the office, Ms. Cole enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also an attorney, and their 3 daughters. The family enjoys sports, traveling, and Top Golf together. Ms. Cole is also a volunteer coach for her twins’ soccer and basketball teams, and is an avid reader.
