Jeffrey Yates is a seasoned litigator and transactional attorney who focuses in probate corporate law, business litigation and estate planning. Since 2005, Jeff has shared his unique background in probate law and high-net-worth estate planning with clients of Albin Roach.

Estate planning cases intersect at the complicated corners of family and money. To skillfully and successfully navigate these dynamics requires experience in areas of law that most attorneys won’t venture near. Jeff Yates and the probate team at Albin Roach bring a wealth of experience in probate litigation and probate issues.

This has created a strong and close network of collegial relationships within the probate law community, giving Jeff an advantage when it comes to negotiating productive and positive outcomes that are in the best interests of his client.

Jeff’s passion for creating effective long-term solutions also shines in his personal and service life. As part of the 2001 Leadership Class project for the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, he spearheaded a 5K run that brought North Texas volunteers together to recognize and raise funds for the victims and heroes of 9-11. This became the Freedom Run and Festival, an annual tradition that still brings together the Dallas legal community and thousands of participants, over a decade later.

Jeff has been named to Thomson Reuters Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and Thomson Reuters Texas Super Lawyers in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016. He also received the “FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager” recognition for 2009 and 2012. Jeff also serves as a board member and legal counsel for South Dallas Community Ministries, Inc.

Jeff and his wife and family live in Prosper and attend Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen.
